National Fishing in Schools Program
The National Fishing in Schools Program: (see our Mission Statement)
Is patterned after the proven “archery in schools” system
Provides curriculum, training & equipment tailored to:
Elementary School - grades K-5
Middle School - grades 6, 7 & 8
High School - grades 9, 10, 11
College & University
Cooperates with the state fish & wildlife agencies, state education agencies, the outdoor industry and other public and private conservation groups.
Secures funding through the Fishing Education Foundation (FEF) to support matching fund grants to schools to acquire the "Fishing in Schools" program for their elementary, middle school, high school, college or university.
Cooperates with state partners to host “FISH* Events” for qualifying students to serve as a means to transition from indoor learning to outdoors fishing.
